A SHOPLIFTER, who stole cameras from Toys R Us, has been given an eight week suspended sentence.
Melissa Maugh-an, 29, of Taw Close, Chelmsley Wood, had visited the Solihull store on January 15 where she took the two action shot cameras, worth £139.98, and left the store without paying.
Nichola Purches, defending said her client, who admitted the offences, had “huge emotional problems” after recently being stabbed.
Maughan was given eight weeks in prison, suspended for one year, with a three month curfew requirement. She was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
