CHILDREN with autism will benefit from a summery show taking place in Shirley next month.

Members of the Solihull Christian Fellowship are busy getting ready for the Midsummer Concert - taking place at The Bridge community centre.

Performers will be joined on stage by guest singer Kirsty Bowie and The Blossomfield Choir.

Proceeds from the event will go to Family Equip - a charity which supports youngsters with Asperger’s Syndrome and other autistic conditions.

Bruce Hipwell, church member, said: “This is our second concert in aid of Family Equip, and we want everyone to come and support this cause.”

The concert will be taking place at 7.30pm on June 19. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children and available from the organisers on 0121 733 1038.
