DORRIDGE Music School in Knowle is celebrating its 25th birthday.
Now the largest independent music school in the country it puts the emphasis on high achievement strengthened by the diverse musical backgrounds of its teachers.
A major part of the school ethic is the production of concerts and charity links with £1,400 has been raised for the Acorns Trust at its concerts.
Meanwhile pupils at DMS are building up towards its 2011 concert at Symphony Hall on October 16 when over 300 musicians from the school will perform a varied programme from Phantom of the Opera, to Michael Jackson, Elton John, Michael Buble, Glee, classical and rock music and dance schools and more.
