POP star Peter Andre delighted fans when he turned up to take part in a penalty shoot-out at a popular football club.

The Aussie singer ran out on the turf at Chelmsley Town FC, where he was filming for his new TV series - Here to Help.

Pulling on his pumps and goalie gloves, he threw down the gauntlet to local people - who tried to put the ball past him.

People piled into the ground in Coleshill Road, Marston Green, on Saturday, hoping to meet Peter or get his autograph.

And the website Twitter was soon a flurry with fans who thought they’d caught a glimpse of their idol elsewhere in the borough.

He was reportedly seen in Dickens Heath and browsing the aisles of Toys R’Us in Shirley.

Here to Help is a new six-part series, which will be screened on TV this summer.

Each episode, the Mysterious Girl singer will be visiting towns and cities around Britain helping local causes.

It’s understood the 38-year-old was in Marston Green to raise awareness for the football club.
