TWO Meriden sisters are going head to head to compete for the title of Miss Birmingham.

Morissa Bradnick, aged 19 and her 17-year-old sister Summer will soon be battling it out for one of them to be crowned Miss Birmingham, with hope of becoming Miss England and then Miss World.

It might be a beauty pageant but the sisters have brains as well as looks. As well as dabbling in modelling in the past, Morissa is studying zoology at Derby University and Summer, a Heart of England sixth form student, is hoping to study psychology.

Morissa said: “It’s great that we have both managed to get so far in the competition. We were a bit reluctant to enter at first because we didn’t know what to expect but we are so glad we did.

“Summer and I have always been really close and we do a lot of things together. Whoever goes through to the next round, we will be happy for each other.”

The girls will be competing for the title of Miss Birmingham in the city centre on Saturday, March 17.
