Snow means fun for all the family

THE recent snow has been a real headache for some Silhillians, as motorists battled against slippery conditions and parents watched anxiously to see if the schools would close.

Following last week’s flurries, there have been fresh showers on Wednesday morning. Once again, some schools have been forced to close and services have been disrupted.

At Birmingham Airport, flights were diverted or cancelled, and commuters have been caught up in jams.

But for many families, the white stuff has been a real treat - youngsters have been sledging in the parks, building snowmen and in, some cases, even igloos.

One snowhouse, standing almost 6ft tall, mysteriously appeared off Fordbridge Road, Kingshurst.

Over the past week, the Solihull News has been inundated with your snaps of the wintry conditions - here are just a few.
