THE UK Youth Parliament member for Solihull is leading a debate in the House of Commons today (Friday).
Solihull School sixth former Natasha Browne, from Castle Bromwich, will be meeting the Speaker, John Bercow MP, before leading a debate on ‘A Curriculum for Life’, after she was voted for by her peers across the West Midlands.
The motion considers the argument that the National Curriculum does not place enough emphasis on preparing young people for life after education.
“I can’t wait for this debating opportunity of a lifetime,” said the 17-year-old.
The event will be televised on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
