MAD weather didn’t stop Solihull’s Mad Hatters charity from holding a fantastic fun day for a 1,000 sick and disabled youngsters recently.
The children, their helpers, volunteers and entertainers defied non-stop torrential rain to really put on a show for the disadvantaged children at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
There were face painters, clowns, balloon twisters, the police brass band, a disco, and story tellers.
Oover 100 voluntees - most in costumes - were on hand to provide fresh fruit, fun drinks and presents while Birmingham City Football Club were on hand for their take a penalty challenge.
Many local companies also dipped in their pocket to help including Oval Insurance, Sytner Solihull, Alexander Stevens, Barclays Bank , Dudley Zoo, West Midlands Police, Birmingham University Circus, Williamson and Soden, Pow Wow face painters.
