FIFTY years and still going strong. The 11th Solihull Methodist Brownies has recently celebrated turning half a century.

The pack, formed on February 21, 1962, marked the milestone by inviting all past and present leaders, helpers and brownies to a party at Solihull Methodist Church Hall.

Displays were on show, detailing Brownie groups of the past 50 years. The current Brownies performed songs from the musical Annie, and cash raised at the event went to World Thinking Day Appeal.

Assistant leader of the 11th Solihull Methodist Brownies, Insiya Kaderbhai-Rajabali said she was ‘amazed’ at the support the group received from the local community and beyond.
