POLICE are hunting a Solihull burglar after he failed to comply with his court order.

POLICE are hunting a Solihull burglar after he failed to comply with his court order.

Matthew Sidwell, 24, had been found guilty of breaking into an outbuilding at Solihull College and stealing gardening equipment in May last year.

He was sentenced at Solihull Magistrates Court on August 31 and handed a supervision order, a fine of £500, given unpaid work and made the subject of a community order.

He has since failed to comply with the conditions and is wanted for breaching the order.

Sergeant Tony Hanlon, of the Solihull offender management team, said: “We have made numerous attempts to locate and arrest Sidwell but all efforts so far have proved fruitless. “We know someone will recognise him and we urge anyone with information about where he is to come forward and contact us.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
