BUDDING bakers and wannabe Nigellas at three Solihull businesses donned their aprons and produced an array of red nose day themed cakes in a fundraising bake-off for Comic Relief recently.

Judged by the Mayor and Mayoress for Solihull, Councillor Ken Hawkins and Mrs Janet Hawkins respectively, the bake-off was hosted by the team at Homer Road-based marketing and communications agency NC Creative Group, who were joined by members of neighbouring businesses Prime Chartered Accountants and Paul D Lawrence Associates.

NC Creative Group Managing Director Åsa Walker said: “Comic Relief is such a worthy and well established charity event, raising money to help those in need both close to home and much further afield. We wanted to play a part in that, whilst at the same time being able to use it as a great, fun way to get to know our neighbour businesses.”

A total of £172 was raised from all staff members paying for tea or coffee plus a taste of the cakes baked.
