A SOLIHULL care home has pulled out all the stops to help one of its residents celebrate his 105th birthday.

Leslie Cramp, who lives at St Michaels Care Home, marked the milestone year last Monday by enjoying a party thrown by staff and residents.

The great grandfather, originally from Shirley, was also set to be taken on a tour of the Aston Villa grounds this week as a special birthday treat.

Julie Buckley, manager of the Warwick Road home, said: “It is great to see one of our residents turning 105. During all my time in care, I have never seen a resident reach this age, which makes it extra special.

“Leslie is great for his age and although he has lost a lot of his hearing, he still very much enjoys life.”

Leslie has two daughters, two grand daughters and a great grandchild.
