A PROMISING Solihull chef has had his culinary skills recognised after being nominated for a top title.

Joshua Clarke, who is an apprentice at the Holiday Inn, fought off stiff competition to be put forward for Team Member of the Year. Along with the General Manager, Martin Woods, Joshua joined six other employees at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Best Western Stoke on Trent Moat House.

Despite narrowly missing out on the title, Joshua, aged 19, said: “Being nominated for Team Member of the Year is a real honour.”
