Solihull College opens new vehicle construction centre

WITH a September 2013 opening and course applications from school leavers across Solihull and Birmingham on the rise, Solihull College’s new £8.5 million Motor Vehicle and Construction Centre at the Woodlands Campus in Smith’s Wood is set to ‘provide a facility that is unparalleled in the Midlands’.

WITH a September 2013 opening and course applications from school leavers across Solihull and Birmingham on the rise, Solihull College’s new £8.5 million Motor Vehicle and Construction Centre at the Woodlands Campus in Smith’s Wood is set to ‘provide a facility that is unparalleled in the Midlands’.

Proving its commitment to major Midlands industries such as construction, engineering, motor vehicle and aerospace, the College is continuing its dedication to providing first class facilities to students across the West Midlands.

Andy Hatchwell, Senior Director at the Woodlands Campus, said: “Our aim is to provide the best industrial practice with the ability to teach at an outstanding level. We will offer students the highest standard facilities and the latest in teaching technology to provide them with the best preparation for their chosen careers.”

The new Motor Vehicle and Construction Centre in Auckland Drive will offer 12 new workshops including one for motorcycle and one for MOT and motor sport.
