A BALSALL Common park has been given a well-deserved face lift following complaints from the local community about anti social behaviour.

A BALSALL Common park has been given a well-deserved face lift following complaints from the local community about anti social behaviour.

The village neighbourhood policing team has teamed up with residents and Solihull Council to give Willow Park a makeover.

In 2010, the Solihull News reported residents’ fears about drug-taking, vandalism and rowdy parties being held in the land off Needlers End Lane.

Sergeant Tony Hanlon said: “After being approached by residents with concerns about the potential anti social behaviour in the park, we set about seeing how the park could be improved and made safer for all.

“It soon became clear that a number of different groups were as determined as we were to improve the park and the facilities on offer.”
