Solihull couple to run London Marathon for charity.

A SOLIHULL husband and wife, who thought they had hung up their running shoes for good following poor health, have sprung back into action to tackle the London Marathon.

A SOLIHULL husband and wife, who thought they had hung up their running shoes for good following poor health, have sprung back into action to tackle the London Marathon.

Steve, aged 48 and Sonja Graham, 40, decided to take on the 26 mile challenge after watching last year’s run on television.

But neither realised the other had applied until the ballot places were announced.

For the Monkspath couple, running a marathon had once seemed like a dream after Sonja suffered a prolapsed disc in 2010 and Steve was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis - a spinal condition which left him temporarily paralysed.

The couple are aiming to raise £2012 for deaf/blind charity Sense.
