DONATIONS are desperately needed from Solihull animal lovers this Christmas.

DONATIONS are desperately needed from Solihull animal lovers this Christmas.

Birmingham Dogs Home have put out an urgent appeal for bedding, towels, clothes, washing powder and money to help them deal with their busiest time of year.

A spokeswoman said: Were really stretched and are asking anyone who can re-home a pet or make a donation to contact us on 0121 643 5211.

One local dog lover who has heeded the call is Nyoka Scarlett, owner of Walkies Pet Services in Solihull.

Nyoka, from Hampton-in-Arden, is offering to take residents donations to the dogs home.

The dog walker has set up a drop off bin outside her home at 12 Meriden Road, Hampton-in-Arden and is even offering to make collections from peoples homes if theyre too enough.

She has also organised drop off donation points at Spa, Hampton Lane, Catherine-de-Barnes, Hampton Village Store, or Hampton Post Office.

Its a great way to feel good about yourself and spread some Christmas cheer, she said.

To contact Nyoka, email walkiespetservicessolihull@gmail.com or call 01675 442 442.
