A VAN driver from Shirley caught with badly balding tyres has been fined and had points added to his driving licence.
Police spotted Peter Brady, 24, of Stratford Road, driving his Ford Transit along Streetsbrook Road on November 13 last year and noticed two worn tyres.
He pleaded guilty at Solihull Magistrates Court on Monday to driving a vehicle in an unsuitable condition.
Katie Simpson, prosecuting, told magistrates the tyres were ‘almost bald’ and were ‘worn to the point that the ply cord was exposed.’
Brady was fined £150 and told to pay £80 costs and £15 victim sur charge.
