A SOLIHULL filmmaker has launched a behind-the-scenes look at policing of the London 2012 Olympics.
Tinker Taylor video and digital production company has just launched eight short films, on behalf of the Police Federation, after being given exclusive access to film policing of the 2012 Olympics.
Creative Director Sam Taylor, from Solihull, said: “The films give a behind-the-scenes look at the tremendous role the police played in helping to make the London Olympics such a success.
“We wanted to celebrate the fantastic job that was done by our officers and showcase some of their work.
“We took to the sky in the helicopters of the MPS Air Support unit, followed and interviewed the celebrated Torch Security Team and filmed the officers in overall command of policing the marathons.
“We took to the Mall with the explosives search dogs and went on-board with the marine dive teams along the Thames.”
Before launching Tinker Taylor, Sam Taylor spent ten years in the television industry producing and directing shows primarily for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and TVNZ winning a Royal Television Society Award for best Lifestyle Series in 1999.
Tinker Taylor has now produced over 100 films for organisations including McCann Erickson, Marie Curie Cancer Care, NHS London and Claims Direct.
