A NEW online portal has been launched offering information about support programmes and access to finance schemes for businesses in the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP).
The ‘Central Business Portal’ offers businesses and organisations in Solihull a single resource to help find the most suitable support. It can be accessed on the GBSLEP website.
Lorely Burt MP for Solihull said: “This will provide a brilliant opportunity for businesses in Solihull to find out what sort of funding and support is available for them.
“In the last year, unemployment in Solihull has fallen by 14.3 per cent and in the last four years we have seen a consistent and encouraging increase in the export value of businesses in the West Midlands.
“This new portal will only help to start, develop and expand businesses in Solihull and I am hopeful that, as a result, we will continue to see this excellent business growth in our region”.
The ‘Central Business Portal’ not only provides advice and information about business opportunities but it also gives appropriate contact details for companies looking to relocate or set up in the GBSLEP area.
Ms Burt added: “We have introduced both ‘Mentorsme’ a mentoring portal and the ‘Growth Accelerator’ which will assist businesses to get off the ground.
“I am thrilled that the GBSLEP has introduced the ‘Central Business Portal’ which will help local businesses in Solihull fulfill their potential.”
