WITH only two weeks to go until the Heart of England Walk for Macmillan Cancer Support, the charity’s nurses in Solihull have been nominated for an award recognising ‘team excellence’.

The prestigious Macmillan Excellence Awards are being made to Macmillan professionals who have demonstrated a positive impact for people affected by cancer.

The Macmillan specialist palliative care team, working with the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, have been recognised as a high-performing team who provide the best possible care to local people.

Jo Judges, Macmillan development manager, who nominated the workers for the award said: “The team delivers a high standard of care and is leading in meeting the needs and wishes of patients and their carers. This is a flagship team for its speciality and needs to be commended on the work already achieved and their aspirations for the future.”

On July 8 you can support Macmillan by taking part in the Heart of England Walk - starting from Baddesley Clinton. Participants can choose a 4, 7.5 or 11 mile route.
