SOLIHULL and Dorridge parisioners joined a man on his Grand Union Canal pilgrimage last week when he passed through the borough.

Jim Quinn is combining his love of waterways with his passion for justice by walking the length of the canal from Birmingham to London.

The 59-year-old began his journey on Sunday to raise awareness of the 783 million people around the world without access to clean water.

Parishioners from St Augustine’s parish in Solihull and St George and St Teresa of the Child Jesus in Dorridge joined Jim as he made his way through their parishes.
