A SUPPORT worker from Solihull has won a national award for supporting people threatened with sight loss.

A SUPPORT worker from Solihull has won a national award for supporting people threatened with sight loss.

Rebecca Marsden, who is based at Solihull Hospital, has been named the Support and Community Rehabilitation Professional of the Year in the Macular Disease Society’s Awards for Excellence.

Rebecca was nominated by her colleague Mary Barr, with the backing of 45 members of the local Macular Disease Society support group.

The group meets from 2– 4pm on the first Thursday of each month at St Augustine’s Church Hall, Station Road, Solihull.
