STAFF from a Solihull opticians raised more than £400 for Sport Relief by cycling 117 miles in just eight hours.
The team from Specsavers at 90 High Street, Solihull took it in turns to ride the static bike last month, raising £423.57 in total.
“We’d set ourselves the target of 75 miles, but managed to beat it,” said store director Brad Parkes.
“It was a great effort by all those who took part and I want to thank everyone who supported us.”
Alongside the sponsored bike ride the store also ran a free prize draw to win a pair of tickets to watch Birmingham City Football Club play Bristol City earlier this month. The prize was won by Mrs Zoe Jeffs who took her son William with her to the game.
