THREE girls from Saint Martin’s School who share birthdays on or close to the date of the Queen’s coronation, have marked the occasion of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee by planting a Jubilee Oak tree in the grounds of the Brueton Avenue School.

Lydia Dalley, Lauren Singleton and Laura Slevin, pictured with Mrs Jane Carwithen, head and Mr Mark Hope-Urwin, chair of governors, were delighted to take part in the ceremony as parents and pupils watched. The oak sapling has been grown from an acorn gathered from one of the Queen’s estates.
