Stars of film and TV at fans’ event

THOUSANDS crowded into the NEC last weekend to enjoy the sights and sounds of the spring Memorabilia Show.

Billed by organisers as the longest running event of its kind – in the UK at least – the show attracts fans from around the country.

As always, some big names appeared at the two-day event, with guests including The Good Life star Richard Briers and actress Linda Blair, best known for her chilling turn in The Exorcist.

Many visitors queued for autographs, while others took the chance to browse the stalls – which sold all sorts of cult paraphernalia.

Robert Vaughn, who starred in TV show The Man from UNCLE and more recently Hustle, said: “I’ve done a few conventions over the years and I can honestly say this is the best organised, most enjoyable one that I’ve been to – over here or in The States.”

If you didn’t get chance to visit the show, then you will have another opportunity later this year – the winter show will take place on November 21-22. To find out more go to www.memorabilia.co.uk.
