Three night-time bat walks are taking place this summer in Solihull parks.
The bat walks are due to take place on Thursday 5 August at Brueton Park; Tuesday 17 August at Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve, and Thursday 26 August at Elmdon Park. The walks all start at 8pm and last for approximately two hours.
These walks promise to provide a fun and fascinating evening for all the family to enjoy. Led by Solihull Council’s Park Rangers, attendees will go in search for bats around the parks and learn about these interesting nocturnal creatures.
Walkers will also be able to use bat detectors which help locate any bats by converting their high-pitch call to a frequency which can be heard by the human ear.
Tickets cost £1.50 per person or £5 for a family ticket, which admits two adults and two children.
Bat walks are popular events so anyone interested should book a place on the event beforehand by calling Solihull Arts Complex on 0121 704 6962.
