MILD weather tempted a record-breaking number of people to take part in Knowle & Dorridge Lions’ Festive Walk.
Over 1,700 people turned out to enjoy this week’s event, more than double the number than have ever taken part in the past.
Organisers hope the stroll on Tuesday will raise over £10,000. This year the nominated charities are the Alzheimer’s Society, Crossroads Care, Dorridge & Knowle Scouts and other local causes.
Lion Ute Smith said: “We get lots of walkers who have joined us for many years bringing along their families and friends and it’s great to see so many people happy to donate generously to worthy causes.”
