Students provide a green touch

GREEN-fingered students spent an afternoon brightening up Library Square and Manor Walk in an initiative organised by Touchwood.

The hard working pupils from Tudor Grange School, Solihull College and Forest Oak School gave the centre’s gardens a mini-makeover in preparation for summer, as part of Solihull Council’s Environment Champions initiative.

Lee Brassington, operations manager at Touchwood,said: “The children did a fantastic job in helping to enhance our gardens and we have no doubt that our guests will enjoy them throughout the summer.

Trish Willetts, environmental champion co-ordinator, at Solihull MBC added: “The Environmental Champions initiative is designed to encourage local children to contribute to the community in which they live, and our partnership with Touchwood is a fantastic example of this.
