POLITICS students from The Sixth Form College returned home from a snowy New York last week.
A group of 30 students spent four days in the Big Apple visiting political institutions and locations of historical and social significance as part of their A-Level studies.
Among the places of interest visited were City Hall, the Lower East Side Living Tenement Project and the US Federal Reserve Bank, where students visited the vault to see where the gold is kept safe.
A political seminar, which included a coach tour of Manhattan’s places of political interest, was also taken.
Away from politics, there was time for a boat trip to the Immigration Museum at Ellis Island, The Empire State Building, and Ground Zero.
