A STATE-of-the-art new facility was opened at Lyndon School earlier this week.
The humanities college was handed a £25,000 grant to develop the school library.
It’s now been re-opened as The Switch, a futuristic-sounding facility, kitted out with the latest technology.
Refurbishment began last year and the space has been fitted with PCs, desktops, an interactive whiteboard and large display screen.
Students will also have access to cameras, projectors and other equipment - a far cry from the usual exercise book and pen.
Staff at Lyndon School have said The Switch will allow pupils to learn new skills and the equipment will be used across the curriculum.
At Monday’s launch, teachers and pupils welcome representatives from Jaguar Land Rover and local firm McCann Erickson.
