SOLIHULL kids of all ages are being invited to dust off their kites and get involved in the annual Heart of England Kite Day.

On Sunday June 7, the kite display team will wow the crowds in Lavender Hall Park in Balsall Common from 11am to 3pm, with a variety of tricks, synchronized display and a choreographed kite show to music with their custom built kites.

There will be kites of all sizes flying and people can bring their own to fly too. There’s also a kite workshop where people can make their own mini kite.

A free brass band concert will be playing from 1pm-3pm plus much more. Parking is free and there will be refreshments on site or you could bring a picnic.

For more information call Solihull Council for a free guide on 0121 704 8000 or log on to www.solihull.gov.uk/events.
