Tea Party raises cash for local hospices

A MAD Hatter’s Tea Party raised over £1,200 for the Warwickshire based Myton Hospices Charity.

A MAD Hatter’s Tea Party raised over £1,200 for the Warwickshire based Myton Hospices Charity.

The Bluebell pub, in Henley-in-Arden, hosted a charity raffle and auction while broadcaster Philippe Boucheron gave a talk on the history of afternoon tea.

Head chef Simon Malin also created some surprise ‘Eat Me, Drink Me’ curios, consisting of dry ice, and tea-flavoured ice cream alongside a range of sandwiches and cakes for hungry guests.

Bluebell proprietor Leigh Taylor said: “It was a really enjoyable atmosphere, with a record turnout of over 40 guests.”
