SEVEN-year-old schoolboy Thomas Giddings was inspired by our Olympic heroes to run 4km in aid of Children in Need.
The asthmatic athlete pounded the streets of Dorridge last Saturday and drummed up s135 for the BBC charity.
The Solihull School pupil, who lives in the village, had trained for the event and stopped only once to catch his breath and have a puff on his inhaler.
Mum Jennifer said: "We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Olympics during the summer and saw Mo Farah run in one of the heats.
"A quarter of Team GB are asthmatic and I think that inspired Thomas not to give up on sport despite his condition. Were so proud of Thomas. I went round with him on the bike and was struggling to keep up!"
