A SEVENTEEN-year-old girl was found dead in an Olton park early on Wednesday morning.
Police cordoned off Langley Hall Park, after a dog-walker discovered the teenager’s body hanging from a tree.
The girl had not been formally identified as the Solihull News went to press, but had been named locally as Chloe Shaw.
But West Midlands Police would confirm that she was from nearby Acocks Green.
A spokesman said: “It is not being treated as suspicious and police aren’t seeking anyone in connection with the incident.”
They added that the Birmingham and Solihull Coroner had been informed of the death.
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that their paramedics had been called to the park, off Swanswell Road, at just after 7am.
The teenager was found in cardiac arrest, and despite the efforts of crews to save her, she was confirmed dead at the scene.
