The eyes have it

THE eyes are the window to the soul it is said, so what better way to bring extra sparkle to those peepers than with big, beautiful eyelashes.

THE eyes are the window to the soul it is said, so what better way to bring extra sparkle to those peepers than with big, beautiful eyelashes.

If, like me though, your own lashes could do with a bit of help then try Hollywood Lashes - amazing semi-permanent eyelash extensions which once applied, are water resistant, weather proof and add volume and length.

I popped along to Beauty Above with Margo Louise in Solihull Lane, Hall Green, where Margo swiftly inspected my rather short examples and together we decided on a natural/glamour look in black.

Clients can also choose longer or thicker extensions as well as colours including brown for a softer look .

A cleanse was followed by around an hour of painstaking work as individual lashes were applied using medical grade glue - I must admit as my lower eyelashes were taped to allow Margo access to the top set, I did start to panic but she was very reassuring and I actually relaxed.

Soon it was time for the big reveal and I was rather worried that I would resemble a china doll but amazingly I had full, luscious lashes which would need no time-consuming mascara and would last for up to a month depending on the life cycle of my own natural lashes.

Proof of their eye-opening effect was further confirmed when my teenage daughters and their friends all exclaimed at my ‘new look’ though unsurprisingly, the husband noticed two days later!

Beauty Above with Margo Louise is situated above Antony’s Hair Salon. Call 0121 733 7477 or 079563 57592 to book your appointment. Margo is offering readers ten per cent off Hollywood Lashes with a copy of this edition of the Solihull News. Normal price is £50 for a full set of lashes and £25 for infills.

Margo also offers a wide range of beauty services including the inch-busting Universal Contour Wrap - ideal for those Christmas parties - gel nails, facials, waxing and more.
