Having visited my local councillor over problems of the regeneration development and lack of provision of parking for the disabled, I asked why local councillors never attend residents’ meetings.
His reply was he was never invited. My understanding of councillors is they represent the residents, and being a family person living in his ward, I therefore subscribe to throwing my council taxes to pay for him, together with the other councillors, yet this is something they patently fail to carry out.
Mr W. Currigan.
I would like to say a big thank you to the fantastic paramedic, ambulance crew and hospital staff at Heartlands who looked after my six year-old on Saturday night after he fell and broke his arm. I also want to thank all the people in Masons Way who waited patiently behind the ambulance for their support at this difficult time.
SATURDAY morning I attended Solihull Cycling Club’s race training event, it is really rewarding to see so many young riders getting “stuck in” enjoying themselves taking part in the event.
It was well organised as far as rider instruction, drinks and light refreshments. But I wonder what visiting riders and spectators thought when they realised there were no toilet facilities other than hiking over to Tudor Grange Sports Complex.
Come on Solihull Council and Solihull Cycling Club get together and sort out this inconvenience.
