TWO women were taken to hospital after a three-car smash in Hall Green.
Emergency services were called to the accident at the junction of Wake Green Road and Brook Lane.
The smash happened at just before 9.30am on Wednesday morning and two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The driver of one car, a woman, suffered a minor leg injury and was trapped for a period due to damage to the car caused in the crash.
“Crews worked with firefighters to release the woman by removing the roof.
“She was treated on scene before being taken by land ambulance to Selly Oak Hospital.
“A second woman, believed to be the driver of the second car, suffered a minor chest and foot injury and was in shock.
She was treated by crews before being conveyed to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
A further two women, the driver of the third car and a passenger, suffered very minor injuries and were treated on scene but did not require hospital treatment.
