Three hurt in Yardley crash

THREE people were injured in a road accident that took place in Yardley on Saturday.

THREE people were injured in a road accident that took place in Yardley on Saturday.

The crash involved two vehicles and happened on Lyncroft Road at about 9.40pm. West Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted to the incident and dispatched three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an Incident Support Officer to the scene.

A WMAS spokesman said: “On arrival at the scene, crews found two vehicles that had been in a significant collision.

“Three men, one in his 20’s, one in his 30’s and one in his 40’s were all treated at the scene for neck and back injuries. All three were immobilised using spinal boards and neck collars and transferred by ambulance to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

“The hospital had been pre alerted to them mens arrival and their injuries.”
