REAL ale connoisseurs will be licking their lips at the prospect of this year’s Solihull Beer Festival.
The 2009 event promises more tipples to try than ever before, with more than 40 different drinks on offer. Local comic Malcolm Stent will officially open this year’s festivities and there will be live entertainment over the two days.
Now in its eleventh year, the beer festival will be taking place at the Royal British Legion, Solihull.
A spokesman for Solihull CAMRA said: “Following the huge success of last year’s festival we are laying on even more beer - there will be no fewer than 40 interesting and unusual ales lined up. There will also be entertainment, with morris dancing for the Saturday afternoon session and live music for Saturday evening.”
Organisers are hoping that locals will once again be turning out to enjoy a glass or two.
This year’s festival will be on October 2 and 3. To find out more about the programme or Solihull CAMRA you can visit their website at www.solihullcamra.org.uk.
