GIRLS from the Year 7 netball team at Saint Martin’s School are celebrating their resounding success in this year’s Under 12s Solihull Schools’ Netball Championships, where they have been crowned borough champions.

GIRLS from the Year 7 netball team at Saint Martin’s School are celebrating their resounding success in this year’s Under 12s Solihull Schools’ Netball Championships, where they have been crowned borough champions.

Competing against 11 other schools, the girls won their group, beating all six opposing teams. The Saint Martin’s team then went on to win the semi-final against Lode Heath 7 – 1.

Through to the final, Saint Martin’s played with maturity, maintaining a high level of determination and skill throughout the match, defeating Solihull School 10 – 2. The tournament completes a fantastic season for the Year 7 netball team who have achieved an excellent record of success, winning 15 of their 16 matches.

Congratulations go to the squad of Rachel Chard, Manakovi Fakatou, Sophie Gifford, Agathe Le Blevec, Aishlin McGowan, Tawny O’Grady, Megan Stretton, Isabelle Thomas and Francesca Woodley.
