IT’S just over a month before the start of this year’s Solihull Festival and tickets are selling well.
Organisers of the nine-day event recently unveiled the full programme of activities which will be taking place around the borough.
Among the main attractions is a brand new show featuring the English Sernata Orchestra. The singers will be performing at Solihull Arts Complex on September 25.
A concert by the Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra, Opera Delights and Rhythm and Dance 2009 will be among the other shows taking place at the town centre venue.
Elsewhere there will be plenty of entertainment at the borough’s schools, with Langley, Alderbrook, Arden and Archbishop Grimshaw among the premises taking part.
For those who prefer the fresh air, the annual fun run/walk will return - with fund raisers trekking through Tudor Grange Park.
And for the grand finale, families are invited to the massive Fun in the Park event - which will be taking place in Brueton Park. All proceeds from the week’s activities will go to charity.
This year’s festival will be taking place between September 19-27. For more information go to www.solihullfestival.co.uk or call the box office on 0121 704 6962.
