IN reply to the letter of June 4 from Patricia McEneany entitled (First Class). I could not agree more with her remarks. I was in Solihull Hospital, Ward 15, for 13 days having a total knee replacement op and other treatment.
The staff, nurses and doctors were second to none. They were all wonderful and the cleanliness of the ward could not be faulted. I could not have had better treatment anywhere and I wish to say thank you to all.

DOGWATCH UK wish to say a big ‘thank you’ to all the residents who attended our charity dog show recently in conjunction with Hockley Heath car boot, in aid of animal rescue.
We raised over £500 for our charity and homed two dogs to people who came to support us. Even better we had a generous donation from Doreen and John Powell at “Here4animals” of £400 to complete the appeal for Larry, a Spanish dog that needs his leg amputated and a pet passport to come to safety in England soon. We are always looking for food donations, homes for dogs, fosterers and volunteers.
Our next event is a dog show at Acocks Green Carnival on July 3. Please ring 242 0369 to find our more about events and dogs needing homes.

A total of £348 was raised on the day that will go towards helping Age Concern fund its information and advice services in Solihull.

garden grabbing has destroyed thousands of ancient trees, overloaded sewage systems, created parking problems, and lost valuable acrerage of greenery.
‘Lord Prescott’ now has the audacity to argue that a reversal of this green carnage, will have an effect on affordable housing, and the building industry.
It’s amazing that Prescott, talks of homes for the masses, while he occupied several courtesy of the tax payer and the members of the RMT.
TO all the people in Fordbridge and Kingshurst, I would like to thank you for your votes on May 6. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to thank you.
