Top soprano Caroline Lester to perform with Solihull Symphony Orchestra

SOLIHULL Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of musical director Martin Leigh, will perform Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder at their Autumn Concert in Shirley Methodist Church on Saturday, November 24.

SOLIHULL Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of musical director Martin Leigh, will perform Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder at their Autumn Concert in Shirley Methodist Church on Saturday, November 24.

Featuring well-known soprano Caroline Lester, the songs were written by the great German composer for his muse Mathilde Wesendonck and even late in life he admitted “I have done nothing better than these songs”.

The concert, which also includes Verdi’s Triumphal March from Aida and Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony begins at 7.30pm.
