VINTAGE coaches – dating back to the 1900s – will be on display at Johnsons Coach and Bus next month.
The Henley-in-Arden firm have been trading for 100 years, and to celebrate they will be bringing out some of their earliest transport.
Horse and cart rides, and a miniature steam railway will be among the other attractions at their Fun Day. Throughout their centenary year, Johnsons are hoping to raise thousands for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
And it’s hoped that proceeds from this event will help to boost the total.
A Johnsons spokesman said: “During our special year we’re aiming to raise at least £10,000 for this great cause that is funded solely by voluntary donations, and could touch the lives of each and any one of us.
“Currently only sufficiently funded to be able to fly in the daytime, their biggest ambition is to offer a 24 hour services – let’s help them make this possible.”
The company is looking to get other local businesses and community groups involved in the day – either hosting a stall, selling items, or donating raffle prizes.
