FANS of the King of Pop will be ‘thrilled’ when top tribute artist NAVI performs at The Ivy Leaf Social Club in Sheldon.
Billed as the world’s ‘No.1 Impersonator’ of Micheal Jackson, Navi is set to appear at the club on Coventry Road on Saturday June 20, raising money for Cancer Macmillan Support.
Cat Yates fundraising manager for the area said: “It’s very exciting to hear that NAVI is visiting the area, and especially to help raise money for Macmillan. He’s featured on several TV programmes and he certainly looks fantastic, we are deeply grateful for this event being in aid of Macmillan!”
Mark Sewell at MNB Promotions and organiser for the event chose Macmillan as his dad died of stomach cancer in 1999.
He added: “Macmillan is a fantastic organisation and is severely under estimated. Not only do they help the person going through cancer but also all the people surrounding them who are deeply affected”.
The Ivy Social Club is also hoping that the appearance of NAVI will put the ailing club back on the map. Built in the 1940’s the club ceased its British Legion membership four years ago and is now open to the public and available for events.
The venue holds a host of activities and clubs including traditional bingo, ball room dancing and Solo clubs but also events such as a discotheque for over 29’s which takes place every fortnight.
