A SOLIHULL look-alike has starred in the video for a festive song – which some are tipping to be the Christmas Number 1.
Steve Keefe, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Mr Bean, was asked to appear in ‘The Cliffmas Song’ – a catchy tribute to Cliff Richard.
The song – which has received the backing of the evergreen popstar himself – has already caused quite a stir.
“I went down to film the video in London earlier this year,” said Steve. “It features lots of different look-alikes turning up for a Christmas party. There’s Pavarotti, Elton John, and Cliff himself.
“Although it’s a London project, it just so happens that all the look-alikes live here in the Midlands.”
There’s already a huge buzz around the project, with interest from radio stations and talk of live performances on programmes like ‘The One Show,’ and ‘Paul O’ Grady.’
“It’s a feelgood song,” said Steve. “I think if John and Edward end up winning The X Factor, I’m not sure people will buy their single. So who knows what could happen.”
It’s going to be a busy few weeks for Steve – who will be appearing at Solihull’s Christmas Lights switch-on tomorrow (Saturday).
He will also be appearing – in his Mr Bean persona – alongside Jon Culshaw, in a festive edition of the impressionist’s latest sketch show.
