ARDEN Academy have paid tribute to a 26-year-old English teacher who was killed in a traffic accident earlier this month.
Philippa Evans, originally from Merthyr Tydfil, in Wales, had only started teaching at the school this year.
She was returning to see family on August 1, when she was killed in a head-on crash on the A465.
Arden headteacher Ann Green said: “Though she was only with us a short time she had made an incredible impact on the school.
“The world has been robbed of a beautiful young woman; full of life, joy and energy.”
