A TRIO of young entrepreneurs from Solihull face a tense final wait to find out if they have been successful in the 2012 Midlands Business Awards.

The judges’ verdict will be announced at a gala awards ceremony tonight Friday, February 3, at the borough’s Hilton Metropole Hotel and these three are among 47 finalists competing in nine categories

If Gabriella Gaskin-Farley or brothers Callum and Eachan Allaway win, they will be the youngest ever winners in this category, following in the footsteps of Solihull magician Ben Hanlin, who won in 2011.

Gabriella, a Year 10 pupil at Tudor Grange School, has her own business called Sassy Shots, which she runs from a studio at her parents’ home.

Callum Allaway, aged 14, and 11-year-old Eachan have turned their interest in fossils into a business venture, called Beach-Group. The firm sells fossils, sharks teeth, minerals, crystals and associated jewellery items online and at trade shows.
