A FORMER Sheldon post office has been given a new lease of life by becoming a gold-buying centre.
Now owned by Rex Johnson & Sons, the Coventry Road premises was officially opened last Wednesday.
To mark the occasion, antiques expert David Dickinson was called in to cut the ribbon.
The TV presenter said: “It’s such a terrific building, and the opening of this gold buying centre puts it back into use for members of the community.
“This is a great opportunity for people to turn their unwanted gold into cash. The price of gold is at an all time high, so it is an ideal time to be checking if there is an unwanted gold bracelet, or watch, hidden in the back of a drawer.”
